I do not need any template for this. Just a casual dive into the very corners of my mind to find those deep etched yet difficult to extract. But the just is not the operative word here - it is a task, proper one.
Why I want to do this?
I credit Tiago Forte. I will not remember everything. This is me penning stuff I don’t want to forget, but I eventually might.
Having a system in place to prevent this misfortune from happening, I decided to have this system in place.
So let’s cut to the chase
- The BVB colour football that never had air
- I think Mom brought it from Etawah - in one of her early teaching days
- I never thought those were BVB colours till this moment
- Didn’t do awful lot with that football but just a great memory
- The Bottle Caps
- More from detergent bottles than Cola ones
- Thinking of myself a great swing bowler, golfer and the most hushed up english commentator quite wary of prying eyes of my sister who would often think of me as a madman
- The Cycles - the original and the borrowed
- I started cycling quite late. Reason was I was too coward to ride one or as my parents remind me
- I got the first 16”, liked it - lot of racing and stuff
- The one that I have most memories is the one borrowed from my Uncle, the MTB which I rode for countless years till my engineering. Day, Night, 45 Degrees, 5 Degrees. Parking it in the school nearby hoping no one would say no to me and it would still be there when I return. Painful many times but glorious.
- The Scrabble that was never mine
- I could have become an all time great Scrabble player but no that did not happen
- You see my Mom decided to instead gift my gift to someone else on their birthday
- Day Light Robbery
- The Encyclopedia Brittanica
- What I instead became was a damn good trivia man with special interests in all things not related to India - I credit this beautiful set of 10 books
- Still one of my cherished treasures
