Babbel - the premium language learning subscription app has been dabbling into the B2B market. Tying up with corporate customers in helping their employees skill up or offer it as an L&D perk. This was given to me after getting through the initial rounds with the Product Team. The take-home assignment followed a presentation round with VP Product and stakeholders from product and engineering teams.

Situation

We have a B2B Admin Portal where our B2B customers (typically HR managers) log in and invite/manage access of their employees to our learning platform.

Challenge

Constraints

I wasn't much aware of the current functionalities of the Babbel B2B portal. I decided not to ask but to rather research, make informed assumptions and proceed towards my feature suggestion. I did not get much research help apart from an old, grainy video on YouTube.

Solution

I went nuclear. It was a quite comprehensive exercise and I went into great depth. Maybe too great a depth at times - spending slides upon slides explaining User Stories, Wireframing, and corresponding ACs.
